Good fun session to work on technique of volleys (scoring)
Good means to develop team work and competition and increased tempo to a technique exercise
Gives GK opportunity to work on scoring also
Team B behind the goal try to catch missed shots to score point.
Team A try to score goals to score point. Team with most points win. Develop fin forfeits (let the winners pick a physical exercise or losing team put away the gear)

Method:
9 v 9 , 3 min games. Coach throws the ball up for player to (1) volley and (2) Half volley
Move goal from byline to edge of box to create space behind for Defending team to catch ball.
Defending team score by Catching any shots that miss the target
Coach throws ball to Player who shoots from within the marked area. Player runs to retrieve his ball for next go. The quicker the exercise is done the more chances created
Swop sides to work on opposite direction and Other foot
1. Volley (no bounce) or 2. Half volley (as it hits ground)
Coaching Points:
Out Play: Volley technique, Accuracy of shot, power of shot
Out work: Can players get in as many shots as possible (without losing technique)?
GK: Try and save
Crossing & Volley Practice (10 mins)
Method:
9 v 9 , 3 min games. Every player gets to cross and volley and try to score.

Player A crosses/ lofts a pass to Player B who volleys from within the marked area
Player A follows his pass to become striker. Player B goes to the back of the que.
