Warm Up 6v2 Constant Pressure

Description

  • Action starts with the coach, who passes the ball to one of the offensive players
  • The goal is to keep the ball through combinations
  • The defensive players chase the ball and put permanent pressure on the player in possession of the ball
  • When the defensive players get the ball, or after exhaustion, change the defensive players in order to keep the intensity as high as possible

Player Detail

Focus on the pressure of the the 2 defenders. Mention and encourage the hard work and then focus on the press from out to in, blocking passes into the #2 and #3.

Functional 1 6v2 to 6v3

Description

  • The coach starts the action by passing the ball into one of the squares
  • The team in this square is now the team in possession of the ball
  • The other team must try to win the ball, for this purpose two players run directly into the square and chase the ball, two others secure the space in between and the remaining two stay in their square
  • After a certain number of passes, another defender is added and a 6 vs. 3 is played (if the possession team plays well, it becomes more difficult and the pressure increases)
  • If the team in possession loses the ball or the ball leaves the square, the coach immediately plays a new ball in the other square and the tasks change
  • Alternatively, when the ball is won, the defenders can pass the ball into their own square

Player Detail

#9 and #11 Work as pair, forcing play inside and blocking passing lanes into full backs.
