Football/Soccer Session (Moderate): Passing & Possession - Winning the ball back

Winning the ball back

1.two teams of 4 players (or even 4 passers v 3 challengers can be better)

2. one team start on the pitch and another spaced out around the pitch

3. on the coaches command the team on outside race onto pitch and try and win the ball and score a goal

4.the passing team must try and keep possession

5.the pressuring team have 30 seconds to try and win the ball and score

6.if the passing team keep the ball for 30 seconds then they get a point

7.rotate the teams

8.if there is a odd number of players give the passing team the extra player

9.if the ball goes out within the 30 seconds normal rules apply

10. real focus on urgency to win ball back and also on passing team making the pitch big and ball doing the work

11. real need for comunication and off the ball movement from passing team
