Team Learning Objectives

Session Organisation
- 6 vs 4 + 2GK
- Pitch size relevant to numbers available
How to Play
- Both teams play in one half of the pitch
- Team of 6 look to retain possession until they are able release a player into the other half
- Every player must now transfer into this half
- The team in possession must look to play into the goalkeeper (hands or feet) and receive the ball back before looking to play in the opposite direction
- If the defenders win the ball they look to counter and score in either goal
Progressions
- Play 4v4 + 2 Neutral players who play for the team in possession
- When a team transfers to the opposite half they must look to get a shot away at goal, play then restarts with the opposite team

Session Organisation
- 2 teams organised as shown (2-3-1) restricted to their thirds
How to Play
- As GK distributes ball #4 can drop in to defensive third to create a diamond
- As #4 drops in #9 can drop into middle third
- Ball must travel through middle third
- Players can break a line with a dribble or pass and move to support into the next third

- Encourage rotation of positions through thirds to unbalance opposition
- Remove zonal restrictions

How to Play
- Team on outside plays for team in possession and are restricted to 2 touch
- 1 team on inside looks to retain possession, other team look to win the ball and counter by passing to a teammate making a run outside of the area
