- 4 x groups of 4 players
- 2 x 9 x 15m
- 10 secs rest in between sprints
- 4 mins rest between sets

THE SESSION: 5 v 5 counter play into Targets
- Area 6 x 8 per defender
- 5 v 5 + 2 end targets
- Targets can play 1v1 to ensure quick play
- Before a team can score they must play into the target who bounces the ball back to one of his team
PROGRESSIONS:
- Target must lay ball off to a 3rd play - 3 person combination
- Target can step in after he lays they ball off to create an overload in numbers

THE SESSION: U13 Warm Up
Set up:
- 3 lines of cones spaced 10 metres apart
- Split players into even groups (including GK's)
- The first player of each group moves forward
- The next player in line goes once first player reaches middle cone
- 2 reps of each Players will perform the following exercises:
- Walking Lunge (10m) then Lateral Squat (10m)
- Open gate (10m) into close gate (10m)
- Hamstring Raises (10m) across body (10m)
- Side step (10m) then swap direction halfway
- Carioca (10m) then swap direction halfway
- Forwards run (10m) then Backwards run (10m)
- Jog into diagonal shuffle at half way
- Alternating 1 leg skip (20m)
- Quick sharp small steps forward then back to line and then forward 75% run to end
- Jog forward (10m) then sprint at halfway (10m) 95% - 100%
- Stationary start 20m sprint 95% - 100%
Find partner and space:
- Arm on shoulder and swing leg across switch leg after 20 seconds
- Arm on shoulder and perform hamstring kicks
Players should now complete any other relevant stretches
- advise them on these to ensure appropriate technique.
