The goalkeeper takes a position to deal with cross/cutback
Ball can go to 1. Can the keeper attack the ball and create a blocking situation. Moving as the ball is passed to him. Or it can go 2. Keeper gets a deeper position in his goal to deal with shot from distance.
If the ball goes to 1 you can still make a recovery save from position 2.
