Organization: 4 lines

Instructions:

Part 1

1 player from each White line dribble out to the cone and performs scissor at the cone, and accelerate to the opposite line.

After set period of time have them switch to perform the move with the opposite foot

Part 2

1 player from each White line dribbles out ot the cone directly in front of them, before they reach the cone they must play a pass to the blue player on the right of them with the inside of their right foot, and continue across to the other side. Sequence is repeated with Blue.

After a set period of time, have them now play it to the left.

Coaching Points:

Scissor:

Positive 1st touch to drive at cone

-Smaller "Messi" touches upon approach

-Foot pointed towards ground

-Look to come as close as possible to the ball

-Touch out of feet and into space with the outside of the opposite foot

Outside of the Foot Pass

-Ankle Locked

-Foot Pointed towards ground

-Surface- Towards Pinky toe

-Push rather than a strike

2v1 (15 mins)

Organization:

-2 grids-20x15 yard area.

-Line A is the passing line. Line B is the attacking line. Line C is the defending line which is located next to the goal.

Instructions:

Player A passes to Player B and play is live once B receives the ball, A&B attack 2v1 against C looking to score by dribbling into one of the two gates.

If defender wins the ball they go 1v2 looking to cross the counter line

Rotation-A-B, C stays for set period of time.

Coaching Points:

-Identification of space in behind

-Postitive first touch to drive and commit defender

-Support of 2nd attacker (angle/line)

-When to play into the 2nd attacker vs when to attack 1v1 (identification of body shape of defender)

-Use of disguise whether it is to play into 2nd attacker or go 1v1

Progressions: C can come out once the ball is passed from A.
