Dynamic Stretches
1. Legs apart, bounce L, C, R (5x)
2. Calves 1, 2, 3 switch (2x each leg)
3. Knee to chest into Figure 4 with footwork in between (2x each)
4. Quad strech with footwork in between (2x each)
5. Speed skater with footwork in between (2x each)
6. Spiderman/Rollback (4x each)
7. Reverse RDL + Reverse lunge + Overhead reach (4x each)
8. Open/Close the Gate (4x each)
9. Lateral lunge (2x each)
10. Squat Jumps (4x each)

Objective: to improve our ability to combine when WE have the ball in Phase 3.
Organization: 1/2 field. Width of 18. 2 goals. 6v6 plus goalkeepers.
Instructions: it is 3v3 in each zone. Players try to create combinations to score.
Variations: (1) player can join the attach from the defensive zone.
Coaching Points:
1. Creating overload around the ball.
2. Looking for combinations.

Objective: to improve our ability to create chances centrally through zone 14.
Organization: 9v9 on field that is 60 yards wide and extends the half + 18 yards.
Instructions: players play 9v9. Goals created through combination or play through zone 14 are worth more than ones that just go around the outside.
Instructions:
1. Look for combinations.
2. Movement without the ball.
3. Quality of pass - pace and accuracy.
4. Finish.

Objective: improve finishing
Set-Up: 3 cones 10 yards above the 18. One player at the top of the 18.
Instructions: Middle player passes it wide and overlaps, wide player passes to other wide player and overlaps, 3rd player plays the target who lays it off on either side for finish. All players must follow.
Variations: Have multiple groups going and make it a competition. First team to score 7 goals wins.
Coaching Points:
1. Shoot low.
2. Keep eye on the ball.

3. Appropriate finishing (placement or power).

Combination Double Rondo (15 mins)
Objective: to improve our ability to create combinations
Organization: two grids that are 15x15 with a 15 yard area in between.
Instructions: one grid has the ball. They play 6v2 (whatever numbers allow) rondo and try to combine their way out of the grid into the empty grid. Then transfer the ball to the opposite grid who tries to do the same.
Variations: (1) limit the number of touches, (2) player from opposity grid checks into the empty grid for the ball then lays it off to incoming player.
Coaching Points
1. Creating combinations: 1-2, overlap, up/back/thru, 3rd person runs etc
2. Numbers around the ball to create overload.
3. Timing of runs.
4. Weight of the pass.
