Intro

Organization:

  • 2 teams 
  • 4 lines ( 2 per team)
  • Defensive line ( 3 cones)

Instructions:

  • Player A passes to player B, A runs behind the line and B plays him BEHIND defender. A shoots. 
  • Switch Lines 
  • Opposite team goes

Coaching Points/Questions:

  • Make run behind defense
  • Play ball behind defenders
  • Time runs

Progressions:

  • Add defenders

  • Have player A begin more advanced

  • 5v5
  • Field split in half

Instructions:

  • 5v2 in one grid
  • 3 passes in and offensive team can score in endzone. 
  • Defensive team can not be in endzone (holding line) with out ball being in endzone. 

Coaching Points/Questions:

  • Looking for runs behind lines
  • What should we do when initial run is not rewarded with a played ball. 

Progressions:

  • Permanent #9
  • Play 9 with no passing limitations. 

Regressions:

  • one defender presses in initial passing sequence. 
  • can play ball across with no passing requirements.

Organization:

  • 6v4 +gk
  • Use whole half
  • Offense (6,8,10,7,11,9)
  • Defense (1, 2,4,5,6)

Instructions:

  • Ball begins with the 6 or 8
  • In order to score ball must be played behind defenders
  • Defense Can not play behind set line
  • Offense can only score if a ball is played in behind set line 

Coaching Points/Questions:

  • Emphasis on runs behind defense 
  • Don't force through balls if not "on" ( change point of attack)

Progressions:

  • Take away defensive restrictions set in previous activity

Regressions:

  • Defenders are "live" once ball is behind
