The GK 6-sided Star for endurance, diving and recovery
Objective: In this drill the main objective is to practice diving to both sides and recovering (standing up) and diving the other way.
DESIGN: 6 Balls on the outide of a circle with a 6 meter diameter

Practice: Goalkeeper collapses on each balls #1 – #6 (ball outside of the ring) and dives the opposite direction returning to dive each time on ball “A” (ball in middle)
Rounds 1 and 2 – “The Rocker” – After each save to a numbered ball, the goalkeeper does a rocker recovery move to dive to the middle ball (marked “A”)
1st round – the goalkeeper dives to the LEFT to the numbered ball and then dives RIGHT to Ball A using a ROCKER RECOVERY each time.
2nd round – the goalkeeper dives to the RIGHT to the numbered ball, and then dives LEFT to Ball A using a ROCKER RECOVERY each time.
Rounds 3 and 4 – “The Swivel” – After each save to a numbered ball, the goalkeeper does a rocker recovery move to dive to the middle ball (marked “A”)
3rd round – the goalkeeper dives to the LEFT to the numbered ball and then dives RIGHT to Ball A using a SWIVEL /SPIN RECOVERY each time.
4th Round – the goalkeeper dives to the RIGHT to the numbered ball, and then dives LEFT to Ball A using a SWIVEL /SPIN RECOVERY each time.
POSSIBLE PROGRESSION – Use a swivel on the numbered balls and a rocker in the middle and visa/versa
