Warm up after technique

Warm up:

Beginners(1): Begin with teaching technique of striking the ball with shoelaces. Repetition kicking with partners, coaches teach and correct technique of ball approaching, stationary, and ball running away from the player.

Intermediate(1 and 2): Work on accelerated technique of striking with shoelaces.

Advanced(2 and 3): master quickness and power of shooting. Work on quick release of shot after trapping.

Cone 1(1C-1P) coach passes to shooter who takes immediate shot - no trap.

Cone 2(2C-2P) shooter traps and immediately shoots - focus on proper first touch, footwork to prep for shot and quickly getting the shot off.

Cone 3(3C-3P) through-ball is played to running shooter, outside of right foot touch into space, shoot on the run.

Flying changes:

Red dribbles, beats defender and shoots on goal. Any GK catch, goal, or shot out of bounds ends the play. Defender is done, attacker immediately becomes defender against first opponent in line. Defender can steal and counter attack.

After flying changes - Older groups play small-sided scrimmage to big goals before bigger scrimmage to goals.
