Practicing the final phases of play through movement off the ball and finishing the final product inside the final third of the pitch.
Focus: Movements off the ball to lose markers while simultaneously getting in goalscoring positions.
Ultimate Goal for soccer IQ: making space for the finish by moving your opponent.
Cone 1: Passes first ball then checks in to give an option and/or draw the opposition out. (Then goes to cone 2 when drill is finished)
Cone 2: Has two options whether to play the ball to one of his two options, second post or short, and/or go for goal. (Goes to cone 3 when drill is finished)
Cone 3: Immediately when ball is played, stay wide for second post option and/or draw the opposition out. (Returns to cone 1)
Defenders: Goal is to stay narrow and avoid overcommitting/allowing the shot. (rotate in pairs)
GK: Communication with his defenders for their positioning while maintaining consistent positioning between the posts. (Movement limited to the 6)
