Half field with two full sized goals. A goalkeeper in each goal with a supply of balls. 2 teams in a line by its owns goal.
5 players enter the playing area with a ball challenged by 4 players from the other team. If the ball crosses the touch line, the first player to retrieve the ball wins possession and restarts with a throw-in. If the ball crosses a goal line, the players defending that goal sprint off and are replaced by the same number of teammates. The new players coming on always start with a ball. Play for 8-10 minutes, then have the teams reverse roles to play a second half.
CPs: 1) Look for players to recognize numbers up versus numbers-down situations and choose between counter-attacking and build-up play accordingly. 2) As a new team enters with the ball, remind them to avoid high risk play in front of their own goal, and find ways to play the ball forward quickly. Communication, spacing, combination play.

8v8 with Keepers with a 2-touch restriction in the defensive third zone and middle third zone and then unlimited touch in attacking third zone. This game requires players to adjust their collective attacking rhythm as they advance the ball through the thirds of the field.
CPs: Communication, spacing combination play. 2) Enforce a thinking foul whenever a player violates the touch restriction and award an indirect free kick to the other team from the spot of the "foul". 3) Focus on developing good awareness among all players regarding changes in the desired attacking rhythm as the ball moves through the third of the field.

Spike! (15 mins)
6v6, 8v8 depending on numbers. 30x30 grid
One team has a ball and passes the ball with their feet only, counting passes as they go. If they get to 10 passes, they earn a point. The other team has 2 "spike" balls that can only be moved by throwing to one another (allow only 3 steps before throwing ball). They must attempt to pass the ball between their teammates so they can throw a "spiker" and hit the other teams' ball to earn a point. First team to 3 points wins that round.
CPs: Both teams have training targets. The possession team must know where the spikers are and avoid them while quickly passing and maintaing possession. The Spikers must coordinate their efforts to disrupt their opponents' possession. 3) Encourage combination play with the possession team and encourage spacing with the spiker team.
