Ball Possession (20 mins)

Topic: Ball possession

Structure: 2 teams.

• Blue team inside the square has to do 5 passes against one player of red. 
• Every 5 passes the blue team does, one extra of red players joins to defend.
• If the red team recovers the ball, they pass the ball  to their own square, and start 5 reds vs 1 blue to do 5 passes. If red does 5 passes another blue will join.

FOCUS POINTS:

Quality pass, move without ball, pre-scanning, fake pass, lifted push.

WIN THE BALL

Goal: always protect the centre 

• Always defend the most dangerous player. 
• Protect the centre. 
• Defend the route towards the goal, specially when outnumbered by opposition.
• There is a role for the keeper. 

Structure:

Balstart 1: 

• Player A goes to score the goal (shot) and runs to the right side where the ball can be received.

Balstart 2: 

• Player D1 defender, pass the ball to Player B. 
• It becomes a 2 v 1 situation. 
• If Player D1 recovers the ball, to score, there must be a pass to player D2.

Balstart 3: 

• Player D2, defender, pass the ball to Player C. 
• It becomes a 3 v 2 situation. 
• If Defender team recovers the ball, they have to score in the goal.

Rotation: Attackers follow the numbers. Defenders follow the letters

FOCUS POINTS:

Defenders: Find the player / Protect the centre .

Attackers: Play what you see / Find the free player / Create 2 v 1 / Scoring positions.

Scoring (20 mins)

Attack on right wing.

Needed players minimal 11 or 12

A: pass to B

B: pass to C

C: pass to D

D: pass to E

E: pass to F

F: Receives ball and runs with ball to the end of the cones and pass passes with forehand to running player G.  

F: Runs further to 2

G: When player F is at the end of the cones starts running tot receive zone (1). 

G: Runs further with ball and passes at the end of the cones to receive zone (2).

H: Starts running around the cones when G receives the ball in receiving zone (1), 

H: Receives the ball from Player F and hits the ball to goal (3).
