Organisation (Practice Layout & Transition)
Practice is set for 12 up to 14 players, including goalkeeper, in this case we have 11 players for the general session (final third) and one goalkeeper. We have three 4 zones in the area. One if them is middle zone, where we start the session, another one is the final third and the other two are channels for wingers, one winger in each channel. Size of each zone can be adapted depending on how the players cope. Players are bibbed up on arrival. Spare Football are located behind a player, who is assigned to start the game.
Aera Size
Middle zone 20m wide, 10m lenght, Final thirds zone 20m wide, 10m length, channels zones 5m wide, 20 length
Timing
Attacking team swap with defending team after 10 minutes
Explanation
The aim of the session is to get the ball from middle (starting) zone by attacking team, deliver it to one of the wingers and try to finish in the final third zone. Defenders have to prevent the attacking team from scoring in either middle zone, or final third zone (wingers cannot be tackled in their zones). Players have to stay in their starting zones, they cannot move to different zones at least they are told so.
Conditions
Players will receive two goals if they score a goal within 10 seconds from the time they receive the ball.
Progression
One defender can move freely in two zones.
Regression
A winger can join the final third zone.
