Organization: 30 x 30 box 

Instructions:

  • Player blue A passes to Player B - player B takes first touch to end line, then player B turns and passes back to A making a run into the 18 yard box. The black team is dribbling to the end line then passing to the middle for a shot. Alternate sides. 

Coaching Points/Questions:

  • Coaching Point. Blue team - Good weighted pass into space so player can run onto it and control it. B player on Blue receive with the inside of right foot, or outside of left. Control is important. Inside cut to pass. 
  • Black Team. Keep your head up and dribble to the end line. Type of pass should be on the ground so striker can hit first time. Striker B- pick corners. 
  • Keeper come out on both instances. 

Regressions/Progressions:

  • Add defenders.

Organization:

  • same as before

Instructions:

  • Player A passes to B, B takes the ball to the touch line to make a pass back towards the middle where A is there to support. C, waits until A goes in the 18 to make a blind sided run towards the far post, or be an option on the switch. 

Coaching Points/Questions:

  • Weight of the pass to feet. C time your run so that way you are free on the far post. If you have space in front of you, can you dribble? Attract the defense to you and relieve pressure by playing the ball back and switch at feet.
