Organization: 4 cones in a box 5 yards apart. Phase 2 adds a goal and a keeper.
Instructions: Blue must try to keep possession while connecting quick 5 and 10 yard passes. White must touch their cone after every pass. Phase 2 - Adding a goal, and goalkeeper...Blue must try to score. White must still touch their cone after every pass. Variation- 1-defenders cannot leave the cone until the middle player touches the ball. 2- defenders can only intercept the ball while entering or exiting
the square
Coaching Points: Weight of pass in traffic, positioning to keep possession while numbers down, combination play to create goalscoring opportunities.

Organization: Y Passing with finishing
Instructions: Phase 1 - Player passes to the middle, then middle player passes to wide player who then shoots after taking a deceptive first touch. Phase 2 - Player passes to the middle, then middle player passes back to starting player. Starting player then passes to the player who then shoots after taking a deceptive first touch. Phase 3 - Player passes to the middle, then middle player passes back to starting player. Starting player then passes to the wide player who performs a give and go with the middle player before shooting after taking a deceptive first touch.
Coaching Points: Phase 1 - Passing Technique (Heal down, toe up), deceptive first touch before taking a shot. Phase 2 - Weight of pass in combination play, deceptive first touch before taking a shot. Phase 3 - Combining weight of pass with a deceptive first touch before a shot is taken.
