1v1 (multi angles) (15 mins)

1v1:

The letters are different starting points for the defensive player.

Begininng the defensive palyer can not come off the line which encourages the attacker to attack with speed and push around the player

As they get better the attacker should set the defender up based on ball position and defnder positioning.

If defender wins the ball he should play across line BUT encourage the attacker to fight to get it back. NOT TO GIVE UP.

2v1 (15 mins)

2v1:

Goal is to get by the defender in a 2v1 situation.

The A1 needs to decide whether to pass & make a run OR take down the line OR hold for a run on the A2.

The A1 decision is 100% based on who the D1 is defending him. A2 also has to recognize the correct decision.

FOCUS POINT

Coach how to determine the correct decision.

If defender wins the ball the attackers should quickly get it back.

2v1: passing into the zone (15 mins)

2v1 passing into the zone:

The focus is the same as before where the A1 must make the proper decision based on the defender.

The only change is A1 and A2 CAN NOT dribble into the zone...they must pass. This encourages them to pass and make the run.

Runs include a quick A2 run to the line OR pass from A1 to A2 and a quick run to the line by A1 OR an overlapping run by A2 or A1 if passed.

Everything is based on the defender and how he is positioned.

2v1 time 2 (20 mins)

2v1 times 2:

Added a second 2v1 situation. The attackers can cross the zone by dribble or pass. The D2 CAN NOT engage from the line until they ball is controlled in the zone. The A1 and A2 start another 2v1 situation.

As always if the dfenders win the ball the attackers must get it back as fast as possible.

Add more rules by making it a requirement that a pass be made into the zone.
