Session Setup -
Get teams into groups of 6 ideally - 5/7 will work too, it will mean more/less rest time
Set 4 ones of one colour out in a zig zag like the diagram, have another cone of a different colour which will act as the marker which the players will dribble around
2 balls per group
Session Aim -
Players to practice the technique they have just been through in previous part of the session & use it as part of a team which will lead into competitions against other players so they will be passing under pressure. Also the element of moving after a pass will be introduced
Session Walkthrough -
3 players stand behind the starting cones
1 player each stands on the other cones of the same colour
First player will pass into teammate on the first cone
That player receives the ball on their back foot, then passes to teammate on the next cone
Players follow their pass onto the next cone every time they pass the ball
When player at the final cone receives the ball, they dribble around the cone at the top which should be a different colour & dribble all the way back to the start.
Coaching Points
All coaching points to be recapped from previous part of the session
Coach to reiterate the importance of first touch setting up the next pass
Body shape has to be right to receive the ball
Players encouraged to push off the cone to receive the ball simulating pushing away from a defender in a match
Accuracy of pass to help teammates get a good first touch
Close control when dribbling back to the start
Progressions
Players only have 2 touches
Players must control with one foot then play with the other
Competition - First team to go through the sequence of passes & get back to their starting positions is the winner
Rotate teams & order of players on cones so that players aren't passing to the same players
Players will be ready to move onto matches after this, continue the theme by giving out extra goals for good passes which are similar to what they have just worked on.

Passing Triangles
Session can be set up in separate areas if space allows
Assistants may need to mirror sessions in different area's so coach to make sure they are prepared
Make use of outside space to allow session to progress quicker if possible
Bring players in to let them know that the session will be focusing on passing technique & later onto receiving on the back foot & competitions.
Passing Triangle Setup-
Get players into groups of 3 *if assistant needs to join in to make numbers up or players have to rotate then the session will still work fine.
Place 3 cones in a triangle - measurements = 10x10 yards
1 ball between each group
*Please be aware the above diagram is to help understanding & that this is just 1 group. Several of these triangles should be setup across the area dependant on the amount of players in the group
Session walkthrough
Players to start passing in a triangle to teammates, making sure the ball stays on the outside of the triangle
Coach to then demonstrate passing technique to the players *coach to be aware some players might have been on the course before hence why they are practicing in a different setup but it is still important to get across relevant coaching points.
Coaching points for correct technique to be delivered over numerous different stoppages
Standing foot placed next to the ball
Toe's pointing towards the target/player
Pass with inside of the foot for better accuracy & control
Connect with the middle of the ball
Follow through to generate power
Arms out for balance
Coaching points to be added regarding control to set up the pass
Open body out
Receive on the back foot
Touch out of your feet to set up pass with the next touch
Bouncing on your toes to react to the ball
Progressions
When the coach shouts 'switch' players must pass in the opposite direction
Competition - Which team can pass around the triangle 5 times without losing control of the ball
Can you control with one foot & pass with your other
Coach to progress how they see fit for the ability of the group, adding 1-2's in between players at each cone is another progression but only if group if capable
