Skills Shuttles (15 mins)

Set up multiple shuttles. Should have 4-5 players per group but no more.

Have 2 balls going per group: one player from each side goes at the same time. That means ALL players have to have constant awareness, not just the ones first in line. Timing is important! After each skill, the player should pass to the next player so as to practice passing skills. Player then follows their pass to the back of the other line. Vary the passing choices: push pass, snap pass off right foot, reverse sweep pass etc.

1. attack left cone, pull left to right

2. attack right cone, pull right to left

3. attack left cone, curl strong (wide)

4. attack right cone, curl reverse (wide)

5. attack right cone, left foot pivot (sharp)

6. V-drag from left

7. V-drag from right

---

for older groups:

8. lift right

9. bopper left

10. spin right (ball in hook of stick)

11. spin left

Goal Scoring 2 (20 mins)

*** Switch to the opposite side and introduce different skills (ex: backhand)

Player A passes a ball to player B. Player A then takes a second ball and dribbles into the circle for a shot on goal. Player A then repositions to receive a guard pass (90˚!) from player B and have a second shot.

Meanwhile, player B receives the pass from player A and dribbles along the cone line and then along the baseline. Player B then sends a guard pass to player A (must be 90˚).

After player A receives the guard pass from player B, player D may pass a third ball to player C. Player C receives the pass and plays a pass to player A who has repositioned for a post up. Player A then has a third shot on goal (preferably forehand).

Rotation goes A -> B -> C -> D -> A

**If you do not have enough players or it's breaking down, eliminate player D's involvement by putting a stack of balls at position C.

Short summary:

Player A will get 3 chances on goal. Second chance must come from a guard pass at 90˚. Player D must be engaged as they will send the third pass.

possession (20 mins)

One team has the numerical advantage (5vs3, 4 vs 2 etc) on one side, and the other does on the other side. Team with numerical advantage must make 4 passes (can modify this based on player's abilities) before passing it over to the opposite team. If they manage to successfully do this, it is a point for that team. Once the other team receives the ball they attempt to do the same. First team to 5 points wins.

Rollovers (20 mins)

Continuous 3 vs 2 with no-go zone in middle.

Orange takes a ball and plays 3 vs 2 up the right side of the diamond. Blue defends (defensive left side). If blue wins the ball they must work it over to the blue player waiting at the point of diamond. Once received, this third blue player joins the attack and the two former blue defenders + new blue player play 3 vs 2 up their attacking right side against 2 new orange defenders.

Essentially the same as the Aussie Drill but limited to one side of the diamond. Switch directions after a while so the teams attack up the left instead.
