Counter Attacking Technical passing pattern
One player from group 1 passes into the FW who then sets to opposite player on group 1. The players then plays a through ball into their team-mate who passes to group 2. (Both players who were involved then join back of group 2. Group 2 do the same.
Progressions:
- Vary the pattern
- FW flicks in behind for runner
- Add defender in for visual
- 1 touch when possible
Coaching points
- Immediate movement forward when receive ball
- Angle and Distance of run
- FW checks to ball at correct time
- Through ball weighted correctly
- Creative movement

7 v 7 small sided endzone game
Teams set up in a 3-3-1 formation. Teams score by dribling or receiving the ball in the endzone (wide zones are 1 point, central zone is 3 points.
Variations:
Teams must drop into their own half upon losing the ball
One team focuses on building play up while other looks to counter quickly.
Coaching points:
- Creative movement
- Spacial Awareness
- Reading team-mates body position to create options (e.g if striker has back to goal, player needs to provide option for drop.
