Instructions:
1v1+1. 1v1 in middle grid. +1 on each side to use as bounce players. Players can dribble, pass or shoot. Intensity should be high for 60-90 seconds and rotate. Players on outside must move to create good passing angles. Attacking players must make quick decisions & play quickly. Defending players must press & try to win ball back as fast as possible.
Coaching Points:
Positive first touch with sole of the foot
Get ball out of feet in order to make the pass
Eyes up while ball is traveling to move ball quickly
Decision Making (when to pass, when to dribble, when to shoot)
Speed of play (Be quick, Be Fearless, Score!!!)
Progressions/Regressions:
Add half way line to incentivize defending higher up the field (If you win ball and score in attacking 3rd, 2 points per goal

2v2+targets+GOALS!
2v2 in central area. Play to opposite target for 1 point. Play to goal for 2 points. Play to target to score for 3 points. Players can now make decisions on how to score the most points to win the game. Game should be decided by team that can play fast, play forward, score quickly, make great decisions on & off the ball.

Diamond Passing patterns (15 mins)
Organization:
Diamond with cones, 15x15 or so (adjust as needed)
Two grids, 7 players per grid
1 or 2 soccer balls per group
Instructions:
Players must pass to a line and then run to a different line to be ready to recieve with sole of foot. Can only use the instep passing technique. Two touch to start.
Coaching Points:
- Use of instep to pass, toe up and out, ankle locked, plant foot in middle of ball, good follow through (HOW?)
- Use of eye contact/communication to tell player the pass is coming to them
- First touch when receiving
- Quickly moving away from the pass to a different line (full speed)
Progressions/Regressions:
- Competition between grids, first to make 15 passes without making a mistake.
- Add a 2nd ball
- Players must now find a different line in the other grid after making their pass (eyes up)
- Add defender from other grid in centre of diamond, if ball is intercepted, they can pass back to their grid and have two balls to complete passes with.
