To progress this drill the target man now plays the ball to the opposite corner player for the 1st cornner player to now make the 'third man run'. The target player this time instead of coming short for the pass, checks in and then away to the side to recieve a longer pass and creating space in behind in order for the 1st corner player to make a third man run. Target man must finish with one touch.
The drill is repeated the opposite side with the same rotation as previous.

Warm-up (10 mins)
Set Up: 20x30 area. Target man is placed in the centre of the pitch pat half way line with a 'passive defender' OR coach. Two other attackers are placed at each end of the corner opposite each other.
Procedure: Corner player 1 plays to the target player who has come short for the pass. He bounces the ball back to the same player and spins off. The corner player with the ball now plays a diagonal pass to the 2nd corner player making a 'third man run' and plays the target man in to shoot with a 1st finish.
The Drill is then repeated on the opposite side with the origional corner player receiving the bounce pass, now being the target player. Original target player joins the line for making the third man run.
Coaching points:
- Movement and moving the opponent.
- Strength in the pass.
