GM Moment: Attacking Organisation - Final Third Wide Combinations
Principle: Creative passes and unpredictable runs in behind
Sub-Principle: Isolate players to combine and penetrate
Practice Explanation: 4v2 in wide areas just outside the 18 with 1 wide player to play out to. Every player has to touch the ball before you can look to play to the wide player. There's 2 players in the middle for whenever it's played out (work with speed ladders to work on movements). Wide players recieve and look to play into the middle for players to score. The 4 from the 4v2 can attack goal as well to try and score.
4v2's happening on both sides can be constantly moving. If the 2 defenders win it looking to play into mini goals just outside the grid.
Key Messages:
Isolate full-backs in overload situations
Cross into a space where forwards can get ahead of defenders to score
Cross from a cross worth position - deep beyond 18 to float - onto the head just outside 18 - drill from byline
Have runners from wide areas to goals you can play to get closer to goal

Practice Explanation: Progression from last screen - now a defender added for the wide player and 2 for the central players. Have to combine more to cross and runs will have to be varied.

Principle: Creative passes and unpredictable runs in behind
Sub-Principle: Isolate players to combine and penetrate
Practice Explanation: 2 4v4s w/ 1 in each wide channel - 4v4 in the middle.
Wide channels must get 4 passes and then can look to break into the middle and cross into the 4 players who are breaking out. Must watch otherside as can only have one cross at a time - if other side has broken out have to retain till you can cross.
Central players if no players are crossing are in a 4v4 - just looking to retain until they can make movements into the box.

GM Moment: Attacking Organisation - Final Third Wide Combinations
Principle: Creative passes and unpredictable runs in behind
Sub-Principle: Isolate players to combine and penetrate
Practice Explanation: 3/4 Field - Two 18 yard boxes laid out and have a half way line.
9v9 - Set-up in a 4-2-3 shape.
Attacking team must cross the ball from the wide channels and try to score. Once you have gone over half-way can not go back into your own half - front 3 are unable to defend in back half to allow for overloads. Ball will always start from the teams GK.
If we have more than 18 (possibly 26) look to have 2 different sets of back 4 for each team - so when a team wins it the back 4 in play exit the field and the 2 back 4 step up - will also allow for time to drive and space to play in wide channels.
