Try out drills to assess incoming players for ages 7 - 10 years old.

Coever box
Progression 1
- Dribble to cone, perform task, dribble back
- Next takes same ball and does the task
- 2 minutes each foot (Left foot and right foot) for each move.
The same concept but NOW perform the move and exit to a side and dribble to that cone
- 2 minutes each move
- Do left and right variation before moving on to the next move

Pass/Receiving Drill
- Make a triangle and have 4 per triangle
- make sure you perform to left and right passing
- (Depending on age, can also have left/right foot only pass)
1. Player shows for the ball
2. Player passes ball to 1.
3. Passing player follows their pass
4. Next person on opposite cones shows for ball
5. Player passes to them
6. Follow their pass to the next cone
7-9. Continue the pattern with a selected amount of Xs
Progression # 2
1. pass ball
2. follow your pass
3. pass to next player
4. follow your pass
5. Player dribble to the starting line
** Repeat 3 xs and then switch to the opposite way

* Dribble in and out of the cones until the finish line
Station 2
* 20 yard sprint race or relay race
Station 3
* Dribble out and around each cone, turning around each one until the finish line.
