Activation (15 mins)

Activation - 15 minutes

- Players perform various SAQ movements through cones

- Mix of passing and aerial ball receiving movements between cones

- Focus on throw in service and heading/receiving with chest and foot

5-5-4 Position Game (15 mins)

5-5-4 Position Game - 15 min

- Large emphasis on transition moments, particularly transitioning to attack

- Must establish possession when the ball is won, allowing teammates to get back into attacking positions

- Immediate ball pressure with two pressing the ball and not getting split

- In transition to attack, connect first two simple passes allowing us to get our shape to maintain ball possession

- While two to the ball is important, how to we remain balanced defensively in the midfield and not get split in moments of intense pressure on the ball

SSP - Low Block Exercise (30 mins)

SSP - Low Block Introduction - 30 minutes

- Team in white has outside backs, a center back, and midfield 3 to begin

- Team in black has front 3 and midfield 3 to begin

- Black back line and white front line only added in once understanding displayed with other 6 players

- Main emphasis on denying forward and penetrating passes, and not allowing wide service

- Many principles will arise, but will need to be in the flow to see what needs addressed
