Session focusing on CF to Shield ball

Method: Set up as above - Player 1 receives ball from A, Player 1 then has to shield ball from Player 2 for approx 5 seconds and then plays ball back to Player A.
Then Player 1 turns and receives next ball from any either B,C or D and repeats action.
Progress - Player 1 receives ball from Player A and can only return ball to a different Player after shielding.
Coaching Points: Communication to call for pass- body shape, keep ball at furthest distance from opponent. Use arm to hold off opponent and lean into opponent. Use foot to keep ball away from opponent- then return pass to teammate.

Method: Attacker shielding ball and turning to shoot or lay it off to teammate
Coaching Points: Attacker to lean into defender - use arm to hold off defender and try rolling defender to enable turn and shoot

Method: 5 A Side game -focusing on ORANGE team to link up with CF to score
Opponents when ball won -attack small goals- Play starts with Orange team when ball is out.
Coaching Points: Good pass into CF to hold/shield ball and either turn n shoot or link up with teammates- Use body to hold off defender and strong arm to protect ball.

Warm up - pass, shield and move (15 mins)
Method: Players on outside pass ball to inside of same colour - while WHITES try to win ball - Players in ORANGE shield/protect ball for a couple of seconds and then play back to passer. Then ORANGE moves onto receive off another of the outside players.
Coaching Points: Call for ball - receive using good body shape to protect ball - use arm to hold off opponent and good quality pass back - then quick movement to receive next pass.
