Area Length: 10yards Area width: 5yards per group.
Equipment: Balls, Bibs, Cones.
Player set up: 4 players behind each cone. Players working in pairs for purposeses of 1v1.
Instructions: Place ball half way to the finish line (pads). signal, players run to the ball and bump shoulders and try to win the ball. If one player gets there first, wait, and wait to go shoulder to shoulder with the person.
Coaching Points: Keep balance. Make contact with shoulder. Get low to use lower leg strength to push partner away in order to maintain possession.
Alternate pairings in order to provide different challenges.
Progressions/Regressions: When you get to a higher level, no need to wait for the player to go shoulder to shoulder. With younger players, make them wait, so they can learn how to expect the contact.

Organization
Area Length 15 yards. Area width: 5 yards
Equipment: Balls, Bibs, Cones
Player set up: 2 players start between two cones 5 yards apart. Pads as finish line 15 yards away.
Instructions: Pairs start between two red cones.
On coaches instruction, players try to push their partner over to the other player's cone.
As soon as you push the other player, pass the cone, take off and win the ball and go through the cones. player that loses initial challenge makes a recovery run in an attempt to catch their partner.
Coaching Points: Get low and push with legs. make full contact with shoulder to shoulder.

Instructions: Pairs stand next to each other on the opposite side of the cone, with a ball on the their outside foot.
On coaches instruction, pairs dribble their ball to the end line ensuring they are touching / make contact with their partner.
Coaching Points: Make sure you are bumping shoulder correctly.
Vary pairings and starting points for players to ensure they face a range of players and have the opportunity to dribble with both feet.
