Technical Objective: To develop ball, control, stopping, turning and shooting accuracy
Duration: 10 Minutes
Procedure: Set up a large 20x20 yard grid with a smaller square inside it of 10x10 yards. Players move with the ball inside the smaller square, executing different types of dribbling
1. Move the ball forward with the sole of both feet , 2. Use only the right foot , 3. Use only the left foot , 4. Move the ball forward with the instep of both feet
At the coach's signal, all the players must move towards one of the 4 goals and shoot. The last player to score in a goal loses a point. After every 2 signals to shoot at goal, change the type of dribbling
Progression: Add a few obstacles (cones, hurdles etc.) inside the smaller square and the players must dribble the ball trying to avoid them
Coaching Points: 1. Encourage the players to use all parts of the foot to dribble , 2. Encourage the players to be creative by using turns and moves
