3 Zone Game with Restricted Touches

Divide shortened field into 3 zones - attacking zone at either end with central zone.

Each team has 6-11 players depending on size of team and area available.

Players limited to 2 touches in the central zone and their defending zone

Players limited to 1 touch in the attacking zone unless....

1. They are finishing on goal where they can take 2 touches, or

2. They can't go forward or to go then can play back into central zone with second touch.

Conditions:

- Teams must keep at least one field player in each zone at all times

- Players can join into attacking zones at any time as long as they maintain one player in each zone

- If players take more than 1 touch in attacking zone when not finishing or laying it back, opponent gets PK

Purpose of the game:

- Increase speed of play by creating quick sequences

- Improve movement off the ball

- Improve combination and 3rd man running opportunities

- Create sense of urgency in attacking 3rd
