⚽Practice Organization

  • 2 agility drills and structures
  • Each player executes his try and quickly runs back at the offset of the exercise
  • We provide this stimulus to the players in order to enhance their anaerobic capacity and their ability to move in an agile manner with maximal speed(expectation)

⚽Key Coaching Points

  • Every player executes his run with maximal effort
  • According to the lines and the movement, players move and try to avoid the sticks
  • At the first exercise players have to move sideways heading either to the left or right side and at the last stick they have to move quickly around the stick 
  • After the turnaround they have to sprint toward the cone, move around it(COD) and terminate their run by sprinting between the opposite side sticks(mini door)
  • The second variation requires the players move frontal and side ways in order to make a cross move(+). After finishing the cross move players have to execute contra lateral sprint outside the stick of the respective side that they executed the run. They sprint maximally towards the cone
  • We want the players to keep a good flow and not to spend lot of time at each start
  • The time of execution is strict and needs to be followed rigorously
  • Rest between each variation 1:30 minutes
  • Players should not stop at the stick or at the cones after their sprinting effort(we do not want decelerations) 
  • This exercise requires a lot of feedback and motivation from the coach
