Running With The Ball - When Clear of the Defence.
Looking For players to attack the space in front of them, use laces when running at speed, keep your head up, cut accross the defender if needed, patience on the ball to work yourself or a teammate inot space.

Setup grid as shown.
Defenders (black) have the balls. Black play a ball into the blue attackers. Blue take a good first touch out of their feet and attack the goals at speed. Black make ground around the cones and apply pressure to the attacker. The shot should be taken inside the penalty area. Players swap roles after each attack. Work from the other side.
Coaching Points:
Can your fisrts touch set you on your way
Can you keep the ball under control at speed
If the defender catches up with you can you cut in front of his body, blocking his run
Can you beat the defender 1v1 if they get in front
Can you finish on target

5v5 in the middle zone. One team attacks the goals, whilst the other team scores by dribbling the ball throught the gates. If the team attacking the goal get through the middle zone then they go 1v1 with the keeper. If they get through the wide area's, they have to run with the ball into space and cross the ball into the box, where a second player now makes a run into the box to try and score from the cross.
After a set time allow defenders to track back into the scoring zone.
Last 20 minutes remove all scoring zones and finish the night with a small sided game free of coaching but with plenty of encouragement when deserved.

4v2 in one end zone, attackers work the ball to release a player into the middle area. Once free in the middle zone, the player must carry the ball at speed approaching the opposite end zone, then play a pass to a teammate and create another 4v2 situation where the aim is to release a teammate into space again and attack the opposite end.
Rotate Defenders often.
Progression:
In the middle zone, the attacking player has the option to play a give and go with his teammate, or use him as a dummy to feint and go past the defender.

Can you cover the ground quickly as possible
Can you keep your head up whilst running at speed to size up your options
Can you be patient and work the ball to play a teammate into space
