Description

Once GKs have practiced and learned the techniques & footwork of dealing with crosses (in game cross and cutback crosses).  It is important to break down each crossing situation into detail scenarios so they can begin to understand the transition from Shooting angles and movements into different crossing angles.   This session is a Detailed look at the transition and movement needed for a Shooting angle, into a crossing angle (early cross), and/or the movement preparing for a cutback cross.

Crossing Situations- Option 1 ~ Early Cross

2. S1 moves to overlap S2

3. S2 plays a wide ball to S2

4. S2 takes a few dribbles and servers an early cross to Runners 1,2,& 3

2. GK drops off and opens up their stance to be prepared for a cross.  (Depending on the with of the ball will determine how close they are to the front post and their goal line.
