Physical Literacy/Ball contact time - Moves of Week skill Scissor
General Movement - ABC'S - Agility balance coordination
30-second game players must jump or move ( coach decides, changes movement) 3/4 rounds
every time a player jumps over a cone or ball, and they get the point. Who can get the most points?
Challenge: allow players to pick who they are (sports star, videogame etc..)
Moves of Week - Scissor Move Coaching Points
Together the players run forward with the ball and every 2nd or 3rd touch, make a scissor move, first with the right foot and then with the left. This is also called a Step Over.
As Players step over the ball, they should drop their shoulders and exaggerate the feint that they will in that direction.
Encourage players to practice feinting both ways to keep the defenders guessing which direction they go.
Accelerate away immediately after you feint as the defender will be off balance

Technical Practise: Changing Direction
Teach your players how to change direction quickly to get past a defender in a 1v1 situation. Your players will learn how to accelerate away after they have executed the change of direction.
Set-Up
Set up the practice as seen in the above image.
The defender passes the ball across to the attacker to trigger the start of the 1v1.
Attackers aim to dribble the ball through a gate on either side.
Once the pass is played, the defender must try to win the ball back before an attacker gets through the gate.
The attacker must dribble through the gate, not pass it through.
Key Coaching Points
Encourage your players to take a positive first touch in the direction of one of the gates. This will force the defender to move to one side and create space to change direction and dribble towards the opposite free gate.
When attacking, encourage your players to be positive and unpredictable. Players should add disguise using their body and arm movements. Once they have executed the change of direction, encourage players to accelerate away with the ball using their laces.
Players must protect the ball by using their safe side to dribble. This may create opportunities where defenders will lunge in creating a trigger to turn or change direction and accelerate away. The player must choose the correct skill to get free from the defender and create space to shoot, ensuring they always keep their body in between the player and the ball.
