Instructions:
Two teams. One trying to keep possesion (red) and other (blue) trying to possess to go to goal.
All teams in middle must use pressure, cover, balance method.
Blue teams needs 10 golas to win. Red team need 10 through balls to win. Blue player next to mini-goal only has 3 touches in which to score

Instructions:
Play starts with defenders playing the ball out to attackers and then 3v3. Attackers get 3 points for scoring in goal, 1 point for stopping ball anywhere on the line.
Coaching Points:
1. Recognition of who is 1st, 2nd, 3rd defender
2. Pressure (bent run), cover, balance
3. Communication
4. Timing of poke/block tackle
5. Recovery runs

1v1 Through Triangle (10 mins)
Organization:
Two players, one ball, triangle made with cones
Instructions:
The attacking player scores a point by dribling through two sides of the triangle. The defender, guarding the triangle, earns a point by poking the ball away.
Coaching Points:
1. Defending position (surfer's pose)
2. Recognizing moment to poke the ball away
3. Balance of defender before (equal weight in both legs) and in the tackle (driving off back leg)
Progressions:
1. Switch attacker and defender
2. Extra points for attacker if he can beat defender by his front foot (to encourage more opportunities for the tackle)
