Noughts and Crosses (10 mins)
Equipment
- cones
- 2x 3 bibs of same colour per pitch
- 6 balls per pitch
Space
Big noughts and crosses grid 20m in front of a start line
Objective
On each pitch there is two teams of equal numbers. One player from each team goes at a time to play noughts and crosses using one colour bib for a nought on one team and another colour bib for the cross for the other team.
Only 6 bibs and so being quick to get 3 in a row is key. Once all three bibs are placed, you can move 1 bib to an empty square to try and get a 3 in a row. Bibs are placed into the squares to bag that section.
First to 3 games win. If you win you move up, if you lose you move down.
Time
10 minutes, hopefully get at least 5 rounds in.
Coaching Points
- Communication is key
- think before you run
- set your opponent up
Progression
- 4x4 grid
- dribble a ball (2 different coloured balls)
