50X60- Wide zone- 15x25- Middle zone- 30x25
Final third
Players will need regular breaks as its a very physically demanding session
Goalie on halfway line will serve the ball in to one of the 4 red players (Attackers) in the middle zone. They instantly have a 4v3 overload in the middle zone where they will look to try and start a attack and get the ball to one of the wide attackers which could then lead to the wingback moving into the wide attackers previous position to try and keep the blue players camped in their own box. There are no restrictions on passes or shots. Wide players will have to overlap and underlap to create space and offer good passing lanes for the middle players. Defenders (Blues) will have to try and win the ball off reds and try and dribble and pass their way to the halfway line.
Learning objective:
To understand how and when to combine, create and finish different points of attack
Progressions;
Wing backs have to overlap the winger to try and create a chance
All middle players have to touch the ball at least once
First time finishes
Defenders wing back to try and press up higher than the CB and the middle midfielder to put more pressure on the wingers and push the attackers back.
Interventions:
Walkthrough- If a team is still making the same mistakes and let them see a correct way of completing the drill and let them do it at a slow pace.
Freeze- If session isn't flowing and breaking down a lot try and give them key points and maybe regress the session
Pull a player out- to try and help them and give them a certain challenge to do.

Multiple breaks to allow drink breaks
The reds goalkeeper will start the play off by passing to one of his teammates. They will then try and work the ball up field and get it to the wingers and wingbacks to penetrate the blue defence and create overloads. The game goes on as a usual game would play out however if Blues win it back they will look to score in the reds goal but with a timer to allow reds maximum time on the ball.
Challenges,Targets,Conditions:
Reds to try and play 1 and 2 touch
First time finish
Blues time limit on the ball
Blues to play narrow to leave wide channels open
Interventions:
Walkthrough- If a team is still making the same mistakes and let them see a correct way of completing the drill and let them do it at a slow pace.
Freeze- If session isn't flowing and breaking down a lot try and give them key points and maybe regress the session
Pull a player out- to try and help them and give them a certain zone to stay in

A pass is worth 1 point and a Dribble through the gates is worth 2 points.
