The turns are: 1. Sole and inside of same foot, 2. Cruyff pull and tap behind standing leg. 3. U turn
When the coach calls one of the colour cones, each player has to dribble to that end of the grid and step on the ball to show full control, level or beyond the cone.
Coach keeps teams scores.

PURPOSE: To Improve 1v1 change of direction Moves under limited pressure.
SET UP: A 10x10 / 12x12 yeard grid using 2 blue/red discs as per diagram. Add a cone in the middle of the grid. 6 plyers per grid, 2 x teams Red/yellow , 2 x players start from each team starts in the middle with a ball each, 1 x player from each team starts at the blue discs without a ball, facing the red discs.
ACTION: The players facing the red outside cone star by taking a touch towards that cone. At the same time, the limited pressure defender on the outside starts moving across to the same red cone. The players with the ball look to change direction at the cone making sure to protect the ball from the limited defender. The limited pressure defender can use upper body contact but must not tackle. As soon as the player turns, that is the trigger for the player facing the blue cone to repeat towards the blue cone. The limited pressure defender now turns around and applies the same pressure. Players work for 30-60 secs then rotate clockwise.
VARIATION: Introduce receiving and passing to the practice, the first player travels to the outside blue disc. Their partner stands behind the cone facing their partner ready to receive the pass. As soon as the first player turns, they must look to pass to their team mate who receives and travels towards the red disc.
COACH TIP: Make sure the skills are being performed correctly, start slowly, then add speed.
PLAYER TIPS: Attacker - Use the furthest foot from the defender to protect the ball, use your upper body also, eyes up to see the defender/space.
Defender - Quick press on the attacker, get "touch tight", use upper body
