Organization:
1.20 x 20 yard area, set up as shown
2.Tall cones
3.1 ball per player
4.Parents / Guardians required
Story/Description:
1.Set up bowling alleys for each player
2.Parents / Guardians act as the retrievers
3.Players have as many bowls (kick) as they need in order to knock all the pins (cones) down
Coaching Points:
1.Aim to keep the ball straight no gutter balls please - kick the middle of the ball
2.Have a run up
3.Make sure the ball is stopped 1st, before kicking
Developments:
1.Player now gets three kicks only – how many did you knock down?
2.Increase the distance to target

Organization:
Area relevant to number of players. Groups of 4 to work approx 20 yards apart. 2 balls per group of 4
Instructions:
Player A passes to Player 1 on an angle. At same time Player B passes to Player 2 - also on an angle but the opposite one to Player 1.
Player 1 & 2 play back to Player A & B and turn to play to the player at the other end.
Coaching Points:
Bodu on half turn, play off back foot, good touch, good weight, tempo and timing of run with partner (e.g Player 1 & 2 are working together)

Organization:
Same set up as previous screen
Instructions:
When Player 1 receives the ball he turns and plays to Player B. At same time Player B plays to Player 2 and he plays to Player A. Both Players 1 & 2 follow their passes and repeat the movement. Players work for approx 1 minute and change.
Coaching Points:
Receive the ball on the back foot in order to turn and play forwards, good set up touch, good weight of pass and accurate, tempo and spee of play, communication and timing with partner.
Progressions:
The practice from Warm Up 1 and Warm Up 2 can be done with volleys or one touch passing.

Organization:
1. Area size 30 x 25.
2. 3 v 3 (include GK if available).
Instructions:
1. Players split up into 4 teams and play a round robin tournament where all teams play.
Coaching Points:
1. 3 lines of attack, 1 defender, 1 midfielder, 1 forward.
2. Create as much space for player in possession.
3. Try to create a triangle at all times to give good angle of support.
4. Team mates create gaps, can player in possession look to Messi into them.

2.Humpy Dumpty (ball) is sitting on his wall (cone)
3.The goal is for the player to knock him off!
Coaching Points:
1.Stop the ball first before you kick it, user your hands if necessary
2.Get nice and straight
3.Have a run up
4.Kick the middle of the ball really hard
