20x10 grid set up with 6 cones
4 players per grid
Plenty of soccer balls
Instructions:
Players set up in 3 lines - defensive (1st), midfield (2nd), attacking (3rd)
Player A begins by moving the ball either left or right
Players B & C react to theis movement to create a triangle (B opens a lane, C finds the lane)

Players follow the pattern of the ball

Organization:
20x10 grid set up with 6 cones
4 players per grid
Plenty of soccer balls
Instructions:
As before until ball arrives at Player C
Player A now acts as a defender
Player C scores a point if they can beat player A and cross teh 1st line with ball under control
Player A scores a point if they can steal the ball and cross the 2nd line
Players rotate as before
Coaching Points:
Player C - positive 1st touch, engaging the defender, keeping them off balance
Where does 1st touch take you? Middle of grid gives 50/50 option to go left or right
Acceleration after beating defender, don't allow recovery

Points for success
Players roatate as before
Coaching Points:
Player C - positive 1st touch, engaging the defender, keeping them off balance
Player C - should you pass? Or, can you still dribble 1v1
Player B - angle & distance from C, can you unbalance defender
Can you use B as a decoy?
Speed of play (consider shot clock if play is slow - 7 seconds max)

Organization:
30x20 area (midifeld line highlighted)
2 teams of 4
Plenty of socer balls
Instructions:
Teams play with 2 players on each half
When in possession, a player can enter the opposite half (pass or dribble) creating 3v2
Player can stay in that half until a goal is scored, possession is lost or the ball goes out of play
Observations:
Look for moments where players pass too soon (no pressure)
Look for moments where players pass to late (high pressure)
Look for player movement away from the ball, forcing defenders to make a decision to track run or press ball
Opportunities to create 2v1 - isolate a defender
