Football Problem:
We dont transition quick enough to our BPO positions to limit opponents opportunities going forward
Session Objective:
Increase speed of transition to get good BPO shape immediately and win the ball back
Organisation:
set up as shown and 6v2
Blue is to keep the ball as long as possible and receive a point for every ten passes.
As soon as Red win the ball they are tyo play to their team mates in the opposite grid and transition across.
Blue team then transitions 2 players in to defend against the red team
Progression:
Add another player in after every 5 passes to BPO to increase winning the ball which increases amount of transitions in the practice
Team Task:
Reaction time of team that loses the ball to enter the next grid is to be immediate
Communication on pressing the ball is to be done by the players
Player Tasks:
1 press ball
One to shut down passing option
One to close off forward passing lane when 3rd player comes in to effect
Move at game speed in transition
Dictate direction of pass to try and pinch it
Coaches Cues:
Is it game speed
Are the moving into the grid with structure in mind
Are they aggressively trying to win the ball back
Still look at transition speed into grid for BP support to ensure there are options for their team mates

Football Problem
We dont transition quick enough to our BPO positions to limit opponents opportunities going forward
Session Objective
Increase speed of transition to get good BPO shape immediately and win the ball back
Organisation:
set up as shown. 4v4+4 in the grid as displayed
BP team to maintain posession as long as possible using the nuetral players on the outside. 10 completed passes equals a point.
If BPO force the mistake and win the ball they are to play to the outside players.
The outside players enter the grid, the team that won the ball transition out of the grid, and the team that was originally in BP are now in BPO
The BPO team must meet together in the middle and cannot win the ball back until they are all there
Progression:
Limit touches to 3 touch.
If required move all teams inside the grid and have two teams V one and the team that loses posession is the team in BPO
Team Task:
BP team keep moving off the ball and look for quick ball movement
BPO team to stay tight and compact and work together to win the ball
When turnover takes place all teams must transition and take up position within 3 seconds
Player Tasks
reaction time and speed of transition must be immediate.
Must move after you have passed the ball
One player must always press the ball and try to dictate direction of play
Coaches Cues
have they effectively communicated and transitioned with speed
Are they positioning themselves properley
Is there good communication on coaching the player in front of you on directional play

Speed of player movement. Is it game realistic
Awareness through the grid to ensure play doesn't stop or break down
Ability to get to the cone and immediately look to receive the ball
