We want to achieve these certain ideas and principles by the end of this session, with our players:
Triggers on when to link up
Varied movement, in behind, out wide or to feet
Clean/calm/confident finishing in front of goal
Play 1 touch in and around the box
Recognize players touch, pass and movement around you to provide more dynamic link up

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Setup:
Keep the same set up, trying to mimic a closed front 3, possibly seen in a 3-4-3 formation or 4-3-3, where the false drops in to create space in behind for inside wingers or 2 no.10's to work off of.
Instructions:
Coach now plays into player no.2 first, he then slips the ball down the line for the number 9 to get onto and try hit the target, if possible look to shoot across the GK in these positions from an angle. Player no.3 is recovering and getting back into shape after their initial finish on goal.
Progressions:
See the following slide for the final attempt on goal, from player no.2.

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Setup:
Same as before, looking to work a shot or finish for the final player available, no.2.
Instructions:
Coach plays the ball into the feet of no.2 and this player now has to receive outside the poles, drive into the space (inside zone) created by his teammates by pulling wide after their shots, and get a quick effort away on goal. Look for continuous quick repetitions of this setup, working the players in 60-90 seconds bursts. Also focus on the triggers of movement off the ball and try help players improve timing and speed of play in and around the penalty box.
Progressions:
Players should rotate positions from number 9 to inside forward to number 10, whichever works best relative to your teams formation in games but keep the rotations sharp and game realistic + position specific, if possible.

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Setup:
Use the edge of the penalty area as a guide for the forwards to use. 3 poles, a set of cones lined up for dribbling and a supply of balls for the attackers in line.
Instructions:
The sequence starts with a dribble
Once the player comes out of the cones, they pass the ball to the player on the orange cone/halfway line here
This player then plays into the number 9 dropping in to set the ball back to the original dribbling player
The starting player then plays a diagonal pass in behind the poles/mannequins for the opposite forward to run onto + finish
Progressions:
Rotate the players positions around - for example, the player who just took the shot collects their ball and goes to the back of the line, the halfway line player moves to the no.9 spot and no.9 moves to become the finishing player, with the dribbler becoming the player who plays the pass on the halfway line.

Setup:
We play an attacking 3 vs 2 setup, the red team bringing 2 players out from the right and left side of the field, with the central player coming forward with the ball and playing against the 2 blue defenders and GK.
Instructions:
Play fast breaks in attack, transitioning quickly and with numerical superiority we should be looking for our attackers to get shots off quickly, mix up the movement from dropping deep to combine and also looking for runs in behind.

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Setup:
Play fast in attack - focus on dynamic, 1 touch link up play
Shots inside or behind your line resulting in a goal gives that team 2 goals, while a goal scored inside the opponents half results in 1 goal
At the start we try to play 1 touch finish inside the opponents half
We can also try to play the offside line for the initial 10/15 minutes of the game

3 Players - Finish No.1 (5 mins)
Setup:
We use a typical space in front of the 18 yard area, 4 poles/mannequins set up as obstacles for the forwards to play around and run in behind.
Instructions:
We are looking for the coach play the first ball into the feet of our no.9 - this player then sets the ball back to a teammate, as shown, as this teammate slides a ball in behind the defense for the 3rd man to finish. The idea is for the front 3 to recognize when to go in behind, check the ball and when to step forward. Each player can use one another as a trigger to make their next move, keeping it game realistic and the tempo high.
Progressions:
See next 2 slides for combination variation and the next phase of this shooting practice.
