Football/Soccer Session (Moderate): 3v2 quick finishing

3v2 Quick Finishing (20 mins)

The drill start is with the goakeeper in GOAL 1 who grabs one ball out of the goal and rolls the ball in font of A1. This player dribbles the ball up the field. The defenders in the box directly in front of goal 1 are not playing defense. One player from B1 and one player from B2 will join in in attacking and trying to score on GOAL 2. The 2 defenders in the box directly in front of GOAL 2 play defense and try to win the ball. The attackers can score a point if they score a goal. the defenders can score by winning the ball and finding a pass to one of the other 2 defenders. When a team scores a point the goalkeeper in goal 2 grabs a ball from the goal and rolls it to player A2 to start the next turn.

Coaching Remarks

- Bring the ball up the field quick

- Draw in one defender, pass the ball to the outside player on that side

- This player takes a first touch towards the goal, the other outside player gets ready at the far post. The center player overlaps (if far out from the goal) or takes the drop to shoot position)

- Score within 8 seconds from the A player receiving the ball

If not scored after 8 seconds a defender from the other box comes back to help out and play 3v3
