Description

This 60-minute session focuses on developing and refining the technical skills involved in passing. It emphasizes the key elements of passing mechanics, including passing accuracy, the weight of the pass, timing, and movement off the ball. The session is designed to help players improve their ability to make quick, accurate passes in different situations while also enhancing their awareness of the game around them.

The session will start with a series of basic passing drills, allowing players to focus on the fundamentals such as body positioning, foot placement, and eye contact with the ball. As the session progresses, more complex drills will be introduced to challenge players' decision-making, vision, and ability to execute passes under pressure. This will include working on passing in tight spaces, using both feet, and combining passing with movement off the ball to create passing lanes.

The final part of the session will incorporate small-sided games (SSGs), where players can apply the skills they have learned in a more game-like environment. This allows them to understand the tactical application of passing, including how to maintain possession, break down defensive lines, and create scoring opportunities through effective passing.

  • A rectangle area in between ( 15x5)
  • 8 markers
  • 10 footballs , 1 football inside the playing area
