This session is intended to improve our play when WE have the ball in Phase 3. The aim is to establish the Up/Back and Thru as a foundational pattern. The session will conclude with a 30 minute scrimmage versus our 08G.

Dynamic Stretches
1. Legs apart, bounce L, C, R (5x)
2. Calves 1, 2, 3 switch (2x each leg)
3. Knee to chest into Figure 4 with footwork in between (2x each)
4. Quad strech with footwork in between (2x each)
5. Speed skater with footwork in between (2x each)
6. Spiderman/Rollback (4x each)
7. Reverse RDL + Reverse lunge + Overhead reach (4x each)
8. Open/Close the Gate (4x each)
9. Lateral lunge (2x each)
10. Squat Jumps (4x each)

Objective: to improve our passing and receiving and establish a foundation pattern.
Organization: Up back through pattern with short passes about 4 yards apart and long pass approximately 16 yards. Can adjust size.
Instructions: Players pass the ball in an up, back and through pattern.
Variations: adjust the sizes.
Key Coaching Points:
1. Quality of passes
2. Receiving.
3. Try to do the entire pattern in one touch.

Objective: to improve our passing, receiving, and movement without the ball.
Organization: 10x10 grid. 4 players in the grid. One line of 3-4 defenders.
Instructions: Defender passes the ball to the attackers to get the game going then plays 4v1. Once the defender wins the ball or it goes out we repeat.
Variations: Create a competition.
Key Coaching Points:
1. Quality of passes.
2. Receiving it open if possible.
3. Proper movement without the ball.
4. Communication.

SSG Pickup (15 mins)
Objective: to activate the players mentally and physically in the Play Practice Play model of training.
Organization: set up two goals and an area that will accommodate the total amount of players you believe will be at training. Here it is 8 and the area is 30x40.
Instructions: As soon as 2 players have arrived at training start playing. As players arrive add the them into the game. It is free play.
Variations: NA

1. This is an opportunity for the coaches to observe
2. Guided discovery is ok during this time but no correcting or commands.
