5v5 Plus 1 Transfer Rondo + GKs

Coach Plays Pass Into Either Group

As Pass Moves, 3 From Opposite Grid Step In To Press 6v3 + GK

10 Passes For Team In Possession = 1 Point

After 10 Passes Team In Possession Have The Option To Transition To Score In Blue Grids

If Blues Win Possession They Must Transfer To Secure Possession - After 10 Passes They Have The Same Option To Transition To Score

Yellow Players = With Both Teams

Organization

  • Set up as shown - Minimal width in build up - Relevant points to larger scale.
  • 3 teams of 6 players + GKs - team in possession adopt 4-2 shape.
  • Pressing team adopt 2-4 shape ( Mid Block ).

Objective
  • Team in possession looking to build and create forward penetrating passes through the central zone to opposite team. Entice to exploit - forward facing players. 
  • Defending team adopting mid block principles. Sliding and blocking forward passes. 
  • 2 front players making play predictable and trapping to one side. 4 screening players moving in relation to the ball - outside players in the 4 allowed press wide if opportunity arises. 
  • If Defending team win the ball - Secure first pass by switching to opposite side. 
  • Team who lost possession now become defending team and occupy same structure and principles.

    • Opposite player allowed drop into central zone to receive and create overload. Must progress through the thirds.
