Receiving the ball on the outside to turn

Essence:

- To work on receiving the ball in different zones and turning to create space and therefore, a shot on goal.

Structure:

- The players start on the red cone and receive a ball from the left and right players.

- The movement is an arching run on the right where you receive it on the outside and then roll out or cut in sharp to create space.

- On the left hand side you receive the ball in a guarded position and then one touch to the right to make space. Or they take a large roll out from 2 hands into one extended the distance away from the "defender"

Variations:

- You can include a passive defender to simulate pressure.

- Add the extra step where after the first shot, the player goes further into the circle for a deflection.

Technical Points:

- Make sure that we have a low strong body position and that we are able through the high elbow to create space on our turns.
