Set up practice as shown; at least 1 attacking player overload in each D

This example is 3v2; If goal is scored or ball goes out of play then new ball is rolled into opposite D to restart game. If defenders gain ball they must pass through the game area to team mates in opposite D.

Progressions

  • When in attacking D, 1 defender can join attackers to create higher overload.
  • Defender can carry ball into opposition area.
  • Additional points for goals created by deflections.
  • Points for Gk's for saves and finding our team players in opposition area.
  • If too many players, create 3 teams and third team can be on outside of pitch to provide support for team in possession.
Scoring
  • 1 point for a goal
  • 2 points for deflected goal
  • 1 for a Gk save
  • 2 points if Gk finds own player in opposite area.
