Set-Up:
- Two teams, with two wingers as neutrals
- Size of space is 20x25 or smaller depending on age
- Goal Keepers can be used, otherwise mini-goals are good
- Soccer balls are behind the goals. Everything starts from the back.
Rules of the Game:
- 4v4 +2 game where the neutrals must stay on the outside until they are "unlocked" by a pass.
- When the neutrals is added, they also unlock the outside space to anyone.
- Neutrals can score
- When the neutrals team loses the ball, they must get back to their space on the outside.. they are locked again.
Progressions:
- Players in the 4v4 must add a neutral before scoring
- A defender is now able to step into the neutral area to take away the winger (forcing players to switch the ball to the other/open winger)
Focus/Principles:
- Can we build the attack by looking to "unlock" the wingers? Can we add both wingers to open the score, gain numbers, and attack the open space?
- Wingers should be looking to be on the ball, when recieving the ball, can they take their first touch forward to goal at pace.
