Organization:
- 20x20 grid, larger where more players are attending.
- each player has a ball and is dribbling within the area.
- lots of touches on the ball (use left / right foot)
a) use inside and outside of foot
b) tick-toks, toe-taps
c) different types of cuts (Cruyff, pull-back, Ronald Chop, etc ...)
d) touch the ball with each knee (one at a time)
- change of direction and speed (do not go in circles)
- add some Creativity (Ask a player to show you a move and then have the rest of the player try to replicate the same move)
Without the Ball:
- ask the players to leave the balls in the grid (coach will spread
them out throughout the grid).
- players move around the grid without the ball
a) on coaches command each players tries to touch as many balls
within "x" seconds using their two hands. Only rule is they cannot
move from ball to ball in a straight line, they must change direction quickly.
b) on coaches command player must bunny hop over each ball
c) on coaches command player must single leg hop over each ball
d) on coaches command player must touch ball with chin and back up again (turn it into a game - who can do it the quickest)
e) on coaches command player must touch ball with right knee then left knee (similar to a lung)
f) half the group with a ball in hand - players move around and pass the ball using their hands to player without a ball (iinto their
hands) - throwing and catch with eye coordination.
There are many other exercises that can be used to disguise the work and make it fun.
